South Tahoe Standup Paddleboard Company

This was my rough draft of my logo. At first, my goal was to go from their previous, boring logo and really tried to enhance everything about. I went with two bright, contrasting colors. The Lake was of course going to be blue, but the board needed to stand out as well. The yellow/orange color really seemed to stand out and i feel like it really helps emphasize a summer feel, which this company only runs during the summer. I was playing with the text and was trying to find exactly where to put it. I tried multiple ways and really couldn't find a good spot. So you will see down the page that i completely got rid of the typography. Being a local, well know business in Lake Tahoe, people will eventually start to recognize this new logo and wont need any type in or around the logo.
This is the Header for my Corporate identity. I choose this because to me it was crutial to find the beauty of the lake while showing a paddler on the lake. I like this photo because it really emphasises how amazing it is to get on a board during the summer in Lake Tahoe.

This is my redesigned logo. I really had no idea what i could do to redesign this logo. First off, I got rid of the typography completely. I didn't think it was necessary because this business is so well known in the South Lake Tahoe area that people will eventually see it enough to start and recognize what company it is. I originally liked where the board was in my first logo but it just was to vertical and I wanted to fill up more space. So all I did was turn the board and match it with certain points on the lake so it looked parallel and clean.
This is my final draft of my business card. I went back and fixed the logo and made it the actual size without stretching the logo. I also went and grabbed the Instagram and Facebook logos instead of writing the social media platform out.  Also, went back and got a Sans and a Sans Serif font so all the typography wasnt the same. Like with my previous draft, i just kept the card itself white. I think its simple, easy to read, and contrasts all the colors just perfectly.
This is my redesigned Letterhead. I made a few minor changes to make it look cleaner. I took out the Facebook and instagram URL's because they aren't really necessary for a letter head. I just kept the name, address, and phone number. Like the business card, I accidentally stretched the logo and made it look disproportionate. I went back and fixed the logo and kept the same structure of it. It looks a lot cleaner and precise.
This is my Envolope part. In my previous one, the logo was once again stretched and warped (common problem with myself). I resized it and made it look like every other logo in my portfolio. Also in my previous envelope, I had some tension occurring in between my logo and the company name/address. I made that better and also put a bold in all the typography. I did this because there isn't much to look at on this envelope so I wanted to try and balance the logo and typejust the right amount.
This is my Revised Magazine ad. Previously, I had the image of Emerald Bay on top, logo in the very middle, and type on the bottom. I moved everything around thinking it would be more effective as an ad. Changed most of the font to a bold italic style to emphasize the type and message more. Again, had to refit the logo and made the logo look the way it should and fit my portfolio. I didnt get a chance to cleanly seperate the image and the ad itself. It looks like the ad is split but i did the best i could by using the eyedropper tool to match the color of the lake with the background of the ad.
This is my Final Newspaper Ad. Previously, I had my Logo up in the sky of the image originally. Also font was directly centered under the image. I moved my logo down to the left corner and blew it up and sized it to match my portfolio. With the typography, I went and bolded everything and with some words, did the bold italics. For some reason, when uploading the ad on here, it came up a different size. If you were to cut the extra white out, it would be the size it needs to be. Also with the type, i made the font bigger to more fit the ad. I also tried to enhance the image quality the best i could, which turned out better than the previous one.
